Sinar Norma CLA Guide

Does anyone have a printed copy of the Sinar Norma CLA guide. The Link is no longer current.

I did access the video series.

The main issues:
Standards aren't aligned and are very loose on the rail.
The coarse focus locking lever won't tighten done well
Fine focus is pretty smooth but there is very slight play between the top and bottom plates of that assembly.

I definitely don't want to delve into this and end up with a box full of parts or damage the camera.

Let me suggest something... Use exactly this lubricant (oil, not grease)

Throw that lube, make it move a lot, throw more... until guides are cleaned and "special" micpol type teflon reached well the friction surfaces.

Mine was well stuck, see how fine it works now without having disassembled it, it shifts fine even with a near 2kg lens mounted (Symmar 360 convertible). Lubricated some 5 years ago...

Thank you very much for providing the two documents! And also for the tip to only use molybdenum disulfide oil. Do you have a manufacturer that you would recommend? What product did you use?

It is a Teflon oil... but an special kind one that makes the teflon particles for a persistent layer after solvent gone, with extreme penetration capability.

You may remove the standard from the rail to reach some hidden friction surfaces. If you have old "solid" grease in the friction surfaces then spray and and move the mechanism until all dirt cames out.

There is a H1 Food Grade version (https://interflon.com/products/interflon-food-lube-aerosol), Interflon Food Lube, it is mostly the same but it is fully non toxic certified, so it is used for food processing machinery, but this is also nice to have it at home.

There are many types of Teflon lubricants, many times price is not related to quality, some have bare microdisperse plumber's teflon... but a higher price makes look the product better.

That product is not cheap, but I compared it with best alternatives in demanding industrial situations and I feel I can strongly recommend it to provide an extensive internal cleaning (with no disassembling) and to ensure a long term lubrication.

Perhaps some may prefer the feel of a damping grease for the focus slider in particular, but the Norma gearing is more than precise enough without the damping, and this lubrication has several advantages like cleaning the inside and penetrating without disassembling anything, while being quite permanent for the long term. Still a choice would be lubricating all with this teflon oil, and later greasing a bit the focus slider (no disassembly required, just rotate to the focus knob to max to expose the friction surfaces).

In particular this teflon oil will provide a perfect long term lubrication for the shift, perhaps this is the movement in what a lubricant like this one will make a remarkable difference.

I know that this is an old thread, but if there is any way you could re-post the Sinar Norma CLA guide, I would be extremely grateful. I have recently acquired a Sinar Norma 5x7 (or 7x5 for Europeans!). This sixty year old mechanical marvel needs some love and care, and the links to Philip Morgan's CLA instructions have all gone dead. Anyway, I hope you look at this thread at some point, and thank you in advance.
