Hi all,

I recently picked up a battered copy of the Bang Bang Club, which is an autobiographical account of a group of war correspondents who covered the fighting in the South African townships during the apartheid prior to the release and election of Nelson Mandela. For those of you who haven't read or heard of the book, it was written by Greg Marinovich and Joao Silva, the two survivors of the original four photographers (the others being Ken Oosterbroek and Kevin Carter) who made up the "Bang Bang Club".

I really enjoyed this book, as it cast a very insightful, if somewhat macabre account of what it was like to be a war correspondent/photographer during the early 1990s. I couldn't put the book down, and had finished it within 24 hours of picking it up, and despite being well read, I've not done that with many other books. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else might have read any similar books about war photographers that they might be able to recommend?

Cheers,
Chris
