I'm sure we all know who Silverprint are .
It would appear they are no more .
Website's gone and everything else to do with them as well , it would seem .

I was about to order some Fomapan 10x8 film off them earlier on in the week as when I enquired about it's availability , they said it was special order .

Luckily I hadn't got around to it , or I might have been £160 out of pocket !

Yup, seems that way. Sad loss. ☹️. There’s a thread about it over on FADU.

Quite right .
Just checked my emails , it was the 5th April they emailed me regards ordering the sheet film .
I'll have to find somewhere else to obtain some now .
Everywhere here seems to be out of stock of it . It looks like I might have to import it from Macodirect , but not sure if I'll have to pay addition VAT when it gets here .

Yes a very sad trend being the concern we should all have. If it went "bust" because of poor business practice then that's a pity for Silverprint but if it is the start of a trend due to any kind of a "malaise" with demand for analogue photography then that is a much more serious concern for all of us

Worth trying process supplies which appears to have stock or speedgraphic.

Yes retail is a tough market, i am sure a lack of film to sell, cant help with sales.

Speedgraphic don't list Fomapan 200 , they do do 100 & 400 , but it's the 200 shot at ISO 125 I like .
Process supplies show they have it , so I'll probably get it off them .

I used to use them a few years ago, and got the impression they'd been sold by the original owner and gone somewhat downhill. But it's difficult to be sure these days with so many supply issues. That said, I received an email from them just a few days ago about a "new" range of colour negative films. Though in reality this was likely repackaged Vision 3, it still showed they were trading until early this week. Sad if they've gone. I understand from another thread that they're in administration so all may not be lost. But few companies make it out of administration intact.

I had confirmation on Thursday from someone who lives nearby to their offices that they had indeed gone into bankruptcy and owed quite a lot of people a lot of money. (Apparently the business skills were not up to their outgoings).
There has been a black hole as to what had happened buy apparently the people handling their case will have biven instruction for a lockdown on information.

That explains why the film I was after was special order only , probably just drop shipping .
You pay Silverprint, they pay Foma , Foma sends it to you .

No quite. As far as I can tell the sequence is now :- You pay Silverprint. They pay no one except the receivers. Unfortunately you may loose out. There is no change to the list of directors shown at Companies House as of last Thursday, but the receivers will advise them eventually and you will have to approach them. Unless as you suggest the money has gone off to Foma BEFORE the receivers were called in you may get your order.

If it goes that far and the company is dissolved before you received your film the company reference number is 01815394

That's not quite the right sequence.
It's now , I pay Process Supplies, they send the film to me , and Silverprint and the receivers get nothing from me !

EDIT : just for clarity , I had not placed an order with Silverprint for this film , so my moneys safe .
I had been planning on getting some ready for my holiday in a couple of weeks from them , but not now !

Process Supplies took over Foma distribution from Martin Reed recently, so they will have it in stock. After selling Silverprint Martin was working from the basement of Process Supplies premises.

I've only used Silverprint more recently for a couple of special order items that they were willing to supply. Some other retailers seem to only sell what is listed on their website.

That'll explain why there the only ones to have any stock of what I want .
I'll get some ordered .
I've been getting my Fomapan sheet film and other stuff from Morco in the UK. https://www.morco.uk.com/ always had good service and prices are usually keen.
I've checked on Morco several times but they've not had the Fomapan 200 in 10"x8" . 100 & 400 , no problem , but not the 200 .

The thread metions says fork were getting a page from "shopify" which is a service whech runs web orders for Many Many online shops arround the world. (They are local to me) they offer merchants a monthly fee based service to do almost everything needed to do e-comerce, right down to taking orders and for some they even do the pack and ship. the https://usa.filmferrania.com/ site was on shopify. Not sure if they will still use it when they reopen.

pehaps the dealer has had dificulty moving their web site to shopify. (or they did not pay their monthly fee to use the service)

It's certainly possible, but if that's the case they haven't paid their phone bill either as their not answering the phone too , or direct emails .
According to the thread on That other forum , this has been going on since the 17th April.
If it were just a glitch it would have been sorted either the same day , or the next at the latest .

Could the last one out turns the lights off please ?
Oh doesn't matter the electrics just been cut off !
