Silverfast AI losing serial number

I've a copy of this software which was bundled with an epson f-3200 scanner or maybe it was a 4870. Anyway I dont use it very often but needed it tonite, and I get prompted for the serial number.

I've searched high and low and while I can find the actual disk, I cant find the serial number.

Is this unusual for the software to just revert to the pre serial number input screen?

If I contact Silverfast about this will I just be considered a pirate or something? I know it sounds dodgy but I did buy the scanners new and did have the serial number and have not loaned it or anything. All above board, honest!!

Can anyone help me out?

Silverfast will have a data base of software that is licensed to registered persons !

I would suggest that you contact SilverFast (as software that is bundled with one particular model of scanner will usually require a gate code key to unlock that particular software to use with another scanner !)
