Silverchrome Pandol

So here in Japan we have Ilford‘s Silverchrome brand developers, and I have been using the Selonal (Rodinal) quite a bit. I’m going to try shooting HP5 at 800 and 1600, so was looking at other developers, and came across Pandol. Does anyone know if this is a copy of another developer? ChatGPT thinks it is XTol, but without the ascorbic acid. Anyone used this before?

It’s a solvent, PQ concentrate - similar (though not identical) to Ilford DD-X, so one would expect it to be a general purpose fine grain developer giving full emulsion speed.

Thanks. That makes sense. I picked up a bottle yesterday, along with a pack of Phenizon-X (Microphen), so we will see what happens.
