Kodak Premo models come up from time to time, and, of course, I look!
So, specifically, could a Premo No.1 designed for pack film be fitted for glass plates?
size, replication of film plane location, leak-free fit, all seem problematic (to me).
Better look for the Kodak Pony Premo no.1 that was also made for regular plate holders - the film-pack holders are not easy to use with regular sheet-film nor with glass plates.
Further, the Premo no 1 does not have a frosted glass on the back, so you can not focus accurately.
Jay, cameras shooting film vs plate… it’s really all in the holder to make sure the imaging media sits parfocal with the focusing glass.
The surface of a loaded plate in a plate holder should be at the same depth from the surface of the holder as a loaded sheet of film, +/- 0.005” or so.
