Sigma Zoom Super camera from the 90's

Nice find, did not know that Sigma made point and shoots, I have a SA7 and 9 SLRs from the late 90s, both with yellowing in the pentaprismas.

Yeah, never heard of it myself. Google searches yields nothing.

The rubbery matte finish has gotten sticky over the years and colors off on your hands. Typical of many cameras og the 90's. Sigma described it as "ZEN Matte finished to provide a non-slip, non-reflection and scratch resistant body, which is sturdy and serviceable through many years" - so I guess not meant to last for ever...

I have learned from someone on these forums that the sticky finish will come off with (medical) adhesive remover, leaving the body surface smooth and glossy. I will give it a try but it will probably also remove all the labelling so gotta take some photos to remind me of the
buttons functions.

You can get rid of the stickiness with isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) that used to be available at any drug store before Covid 19 showed up.
I used it to make my 90s Nikon SLRs non sticky (F100, F80, F75).

Hi there, I'm wondering if you ever found a manual for this? I found a Sigma Zoom Super 70 for sale and wondering about the ISO range. Thanks!

Hi there,

Wondering if you have found the manual yet... I got mine from Value Village for $8 but not sure if it properly works.

Thank you
