I am familiar with the great Sigma XQ series of lenses -- with both fixed and YS-interchangeable mounts.
While dealing with some YS issues, I ran across the Sigma IC adapters -- which came after their YS adapter -- and are new to me. The main difference is that the IC adapters have a positioning pin -- so no adjustment is needed -- and all the camera to lens connections are internal.
The IC adapters will work on YS lenses -- like the Sigma XQ lenses. The IC adapters included some additional lens mounts -- that the YS mount didn't have -- as well as new features for certain cameras.
It's easy for me to find lenses designed for the YS mount, but for some reason, finding lenses made for the IC adapter are impossible to find. I know that there were IC lenses manufactured specifically for the IC adapters, but I can't find them.
What am I missing?
Here is a PDF of the Sigma IC adapter instructions. If you are familiar with the YS adapter, the differences are substantial.
