Will they work?
I've heard great things about those Sigma ART lenses, and would like
to give them a try on my Nikon F4.

I don't know about the F4 but for sure they will not work on any manual cameras as they lack aperture rings.

No A or M mode, S/P only... a F100/F5 would be a better platform for them.

The early Sigma Art series lens will work on the F4, F5 and F6. But the newer lens with the electronic apreture will not work. In my case that included the Sigma 85 and 135 art lens. The 24, 35 and 50mm lens work fine on my F5 and F6
