Hello to everyone. I'm glad to have found this forum with all of you inspiring photo enthusiasts! I'm new here.

Could somebody give me advice on this matter please. I have a problem with the shutter control of my RevueFlex AC2. It seems, that most pre-dialed values all produce the same shutter speed (like 1/60s). The curtain opens completely. However if I set it on 2 seconds the camera counts them off correctly. Putting it on B will only open but not close the curtain on release.
Batteries are new and the metering readings seem to be accurate. My first thought is, that the problem might not be directly related to the mechanics of the shutter since there is no lag. Could it be, that the camera doesn't get the information of the speed dial? Possibility of corroded contacts?
If anyone has an idea how to address the problem your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I will go with shutterfinger’s advice and will disassemble the cam myself. I'll be posting the results afterwards. Thanks for all your replies.

I'm often in the school of thought that getting a camera repaired right even at the cost above what you can acquire another supposedly "working" one is the way to go because then you know your camera is up to snuff and good to go. Acquiring another that looks and functions well would still have the unknown of how long it will stay that way and might need a repair itself soon enough. However my caveat for this standard is with higher-end well-built cameras you treasure and hope to use and last for many years and when the fix and repair cost is maybe only a bit over the acquisition cost of another sample in better condition. Complete sets of Chino CE-4 with multiple lenses can be found for $20-30 USD. Not sure how much the repair of yours will be but I'd guess at least $75-120 USD. I begin to wonder if it would be worth it, unless you've got sentimental value in the mix here.

I went along with Richards view. After being unsuccessful in disassembling the camera to the degree that I could access the mechanic under the speed control wheel I decided to go shopping for a vintage Nikon. So even if my repair attempt has not worked out I'm happy with my new camera. Thanks to all your replies.
