Hi, I'm repairing a large format focal plane shutter whose shutter ribbon was broken. The width is 6mm (1/4"). I scouted the net for replacement, and this is what I found
1) 3mm shutter ribbon from Japan: they are typically for 35mm focal plane shutters
2) 6mm satin ribbon from art & craft supply stores: but I'm not sure if it has enough strength, let alone the shining surface might be difficult to glue on to the metal roller and stay there
Any experience or suggestions are welcome!
