I was given a Fuji GA645 a few years ago and it's been gathering dust in a drawer. I thought I'd try and get it working, and maybe use it for a project, or give it to a student.
The shutter release button doesn't seem to half-depress, it just seems to skip a step and go straight to firing the shutter. I'm not particularly used to using automatic cameras like this, so there's a chance I'm doing something wrong. Nothing comes up in the viewfinder on a half-depress, and when you press a bit further, the image is taken and the film advances.
Any ideas? Fuji doesn't service these any more, and realistically I'm not prepared to spend much on it. Could it be a matter of cleaning the contacts in the shutter release button? My track record of opening things up and putting them back together is pretty poor!
Everything else - exposure, film advance, even focus - seems alright. In it's current state, it's not particularly useable. Any advice would be appreciated.
