This device adapts the early Leica shutter release fitting to use modern shutter release cables and related accessories. This will fit Leica thread mount rangefinder bodies (e.g. the various Leica I-III series models). This will also fit certain Leica copies (but not all), and early Nikon cameras such as the Nikon SP rangefinder and its descendant the Nikon F SLR. I'm sure it will work on various other cameras, but I do not have a complete list! These are uncommon today.
