The show runs in Brandon to May 23 - looking to get it in with the good folks at Photo Central and their gallery space, dates and confirmation on that TBA.
The space in Brandon is really great for this particular show - great space and lotsa room, even a secure area to have a little 'vintage camera' display, too. If you can at all make it out, I highly recommend it. John and I may even be persuaded to buy a pint at a local publican house, too.
John, as usual, did most of the work. And it all went really well. We had a great crowd out, the display case (vintage cameras, light tables of chromes, etc) looked great. We even got a backdrop set up for portraits that night (John had a spiffy C330 out for the occasion).
I had a few pics - John did too. I'll see if I'm not too buzzed to figure out how to post a few.
Before I forget, BIG thanks to Andrew at Photo Central for making the long trek down the highway to attend the show. Talk about supporting analog!
We've been invited to bring this show to Photo Central in Winnipeg (an APUG sponsor). We'll be setting up early on June 27th with some sort of opening later in the afternoon. Maybe Andrew can post the time etc. The Winnipeg show will also feature (we hope) some work done by yet another Ape Hugger, "Muzzer".
Congrats...I wish something like this in Edmonton was possible....good to see fellow canuks holdin' it down on APUG and in the film world and making progress.
Huge thanks to Andrew for the unwavering support of film! Folks, anyone who can make it (and even those who can't) spare some moolah and pick up some film or supplies yourself when there...maybe a Part II can be held sometime?
