And who knows if there might be more problem with wrapper offset with polymers - it is the ink and emulsion interaction that causes the problems.
 
Well the paper ordered would go further and the polymer can be tailored, like most such material, to fit the need.

In particular I'm thinking of an acrylic material laid down layer upon layer, upon a very thin 'ground' until a specific thickness is obtained, for the pressure plate upgrades, and possible for a substitute for paper in rolls..

Such manufacturing, may just be something the companies that build films for sale, could do in house, as the laying down of the silver coatings is no dissimilar.
