Shooting polaroid at conventions

Hello
What kind of polaroid cameras do you recommend to use during conventions? Im planing to shoot a lot of pictures. And would like to know what would be cheapest.

I have 2 polaroid supercolor 635, 1 mamiya universal with polaroid back and a sx70.

Impossible film is so expensive for the 600 cameras but the Mamiya universal is heavy and no flash.
 
Oh have you tried belair? Worth the money? would love to try some instax film

Not yet, but from what I have seen online - it is best instax wide camera for sure. Only thing that can beat belair is that in photokina Fuji introduce new instax wide camera .
 
My choice of Polaroids in conventions would be the electronic flash Pack film Polaroids, the 360, ProPack w/ProFlash, Keystone Everflash, or a modified rollfilm camera (they have X-syncs, even some have PC plugs) or the famous 180/185/190/195, Fuji FP-1 or the Konica version.

If you have a large box a flash bulbs, use the 100, 250 and 350 cameras.

I have pretty much used all of these Polaroids, besides the "Professional" manual models.

You can be like everyone else and use Instax film, like the mini or wide ones, or use the folding sx-70 or SLR 680 using the Impossible Project films.

Here's what I have done with the 100, converted model 800 and a pack film back for my Mamiya RB67.

You could find a beater Speed Graphic and hack together a back (the "Pack Film" backs for the terribly obsolete conventional film in packs are $free to $10 on eBay or here) to suit. Then you'd have Fuji FP100C available, easy fast sync with the front shutter (leaf shutter, so up to 1/500th) and a helluva conversation piece. Just need a flash bracket or a "potato masher" electronic flash.

I have a 4x5 Speed setup to shoot 3x4 Fujiroids, if I shoot it a bunch I can even use tilt without wasting film and just using the rangefinder and viewfinder that are built in. I usually give away the shots I take with it.

Barring that, I'd still try to find a way to make Fujiroids work but Instax is a great film. I just don't like the camera.
 

I have one Beater Speed Pre-Anny, it works great with the Fujiroid film. I picked up an Instax wide back with the idea of fitting it to my Speed, but I don't want to butcher the Speed. I also have a 3x4 Graflex RB ModelD which would be a cool camera for Instax., Just have to figure out how to fit it on. Any ideas?

The Instax conversion is a lot more difficult, from what I have read. It would be advantageous if you could figure it out as you are exposing through the film so your photos would not be reversed like they are with pack film. I haven't tried it yet, but I have a couple Instax wides that would be great for conversions...I just need more time to start cutting.

The actual backs should be easier to convert than trying to cut up a whole camera.

One thing to consider is that FP-100 produces a lot of waste. I shot 7 boxes at a party recently and basically filled a small trashcan. If you're roaming around a convention Instax might be a better choice for generating less waste.

Yes. I have to decide where I'm going to determine will I have time to peel and store (without sticking) the peeled prints. Thanks to the Fuji's self terminating chemicals, I don't have to peel them right away, but if I'm giving the prints away, yes. Tons of waste.
