Shooting 8x10 Polaroid Portraits in Youngstown, Ohio, Aug. 11, 2018

Let's see how this goes. This is my first time taking this camera to the general public. I'll be shooting portraits on Impossible Project/Polaroid Originals 8x10 instant film, during an evening at the Soap gallery in downtown Youngstown. It's Saturday Aug. 11 from 5 to 8pm. Good response and a lot of interest so far.

Thank you both. I'm a nervous wreck about it! Been working to make it as idiot proof (for me) as possible. I'm staking out tape positions on the floor for camera, posing stool and light. I want everything as "constant" as possible.

get one of those egg things on a string to mark off the distance and perfect focus
i david goldfarb uses one of those ( or he's talked about using one ? ) with one of his
giant cameras ( not sure if it is the 8x10 or 11x14 he was using ) might be help
if the light isn't super bright.
i wish i lived close by but it seems all the stuff i wasnt to see watch attend
is hundreds or thousands of miles away from me ( toronto, san fran and youngstown ) ..

It's awesome. I've seen it a few times. She uses HUGE polaroids...20" x 24"

I live just outside of Youngstown and will definitely be stopping by- it's not often that the area blesses me with activity that's relevant to my (film-related) hobbies and I can't pass up a chance to meet and support a fellow APUGer.

Absolutely come out! I live in Pittsburgh, but I'm a Youngstown native and have lots of family and friends there, one of whom is co-owner of this gallery. It's a great venue and they're very supportive. I expect to be pretty busy though, so don't know that I'll have much time to chat. Unless, of course, you decide to sit for one of these!
