Loved E100G and E100VS. Sadly I have only two rolls of E100G left in my freezer. I very rarely shoot E6 anymore since Ektachrome is gone. The Fuji stuff is ok but it just isn't the same. I have relegated myself to mostly C41 for color now.
E100VS - the reds and whites were always amazing.....
E100G - most accurate color and tone of any film I used.
If you project them on a big screen, Provia pales in comparison. But, the Fuji films always scanned better for some reason. I think this is why they won out in the end.
For me, the difference in color between E100G and Provia 100F is not important. However, there is a very big difference in physical quality.
E100G always, and I mean it, always came out perfectly flat. Which makes scanning VERY easy.
It is not the case with the Provia, though. After drying up, the film (120) is flat-ish, but it curls when heated by scanner lamp. That leads to weird reflection artefacts (at the end of strip), and loss of sharpness.
