Sharing some images shot in Plux-X(expired on 1969)

Hello! I have always been intrigued by the different looks of expired film that I see. Some have very different looks and some look as if they were not expired. I am also preparing the same endeavor for color film, I have a few rolls in a garbage bag on my roof that is constantly being exposed to the elements for a few days now. Iin my search of very out of date BW films, a kind APUGer has sent me a couple of rolls of PlusX that has expired last 1969. I just wanted to share my experience with it. I developed it in replenished Xtol for 5mins. I rated the film as ISO 64. BTW, what I want to show is not something scientific or technical, I just wanted to share my experience. Comments and your experiences with very out of date film is welcome. Thank you.

Also, are the negatives supposed to look thin? On the edges the marks (numbers and name of film) are almost invisible. Sadly I only have one roll left.

Plus-X 120 Expired 1978

Here are some shots I took earlier this year on a roll of Plus-X that expired in 1978. Developed in HC-110 Dil. B at 64F degrees for 7 minutes. The chemistry was about ten years old, donated by a friend. Scanned with dust removal and small contrast adjustments.

Taken with a Votarflex rudimentary faux-TLR, so no focusing and little exposure control. Fun, though. I have about 10 rolls left from the same batch so I will be able to experiment even further.

Don't forget, those edge markings were exposed on to the film about 35 years ago - some fading would seem to be unremarkable.

I shot a lot of Plus-X that was loaded in a bulk loader in 1989 then came into my possession.
I found that by rating it at 64 and developing in ID11 I was VERY happy with it...

I've had great luck with Verichrome Pan that expired in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I've shot it @125 and developed it in Diafine (would shoot it @64 if I were to do it again), and also @25 developed in HC-110 dil. B for around 7:00 or so.

Thank your for the replies and those who shared pictures. One of the reasons that I use film is because I am fascinated with the film itself. It can be stored for decades and still be used with not much consequence. That is really cool.
