Why are you wasting your time and money when reliably good films are readily available and consistently stocked? I mean jeez, you could actually be shooting instead of wasting electrons on the Web, is that a difficult concept for you?
It can be part of the fun. It's another option, although I am of the camp that would use it if it weren't at Ilford price level, without counting on the particularity of customs. It may go along well with Holga, which is another photographic option of the utmost quality. Unfortunately those times of cheap under $3/roll film aren't there. I do have a curiosity about bygone products such as Fortepan, Shantou Era and such, Lucky film?
That said, I second Agulliver's opinion for Fomapan (100) as cheap and reliable film, plenty available around Europe.
Edit: I did a random search on taobao and there are listings for GP3 at 23 Yuan/120 roll, about or below $3, but not venturing beyond that...
