Ok, this is driving me batty. I took the 3 grub screws on the geared viewing lens on this TLR and removed the gear/outer ring. Then I unscrewed the viewing lens from up top. The bottom taking lens is hitting perfect focus on the ground glass that I laid on the film rails, just as it snugs down, so that was easy. I figured I would screw the viewing lens in until I got sharp focus on the ground glass on top, slip on the gear/trim ring, and tighten down the grub screws. It SOUNDS easy enough, but no matter where I start the threads on the viewing lens I cannot get sharp focus up top. What am I doing wrong?

I had the camera apart for while now, and I'm wondering if something is missing, but it looks all there to me. Any ideas?

How far off is the view infinity from the taking?
Adjust the view gg/focus screen up for focus needing to go inward from taking infinity; lower view gg/focus screen for focus needing to go further forward.
Is the view gg/focus screen installed correctly (correct side facing the lens)?
