I've duped thousands of slides using Bowens Illumitran and various chromes, mostly using Kodak dupe film or pre- flashed Kodachrome (Canon F1 body is as precise as pin registered Nikon)...I suspect the Beseler is even better...both cases with standard cassettes. I've also used a DIY system utilizing relatively heavy Durst focusing stand and daylight lightbox or strobe copy lights depending on requirements...great for small projects involving mixed format originals.
For high production versatility I've used Forox with motorized Nikon and polarized studio strobe lights (Balcar & Norman) for flat copy as well as a forgotten-brand, pin-registered long-roll 46mm camera ("super slides" used with Leltz mounts). Micro Nikkor easily covers 46mm format at macro distances.
The best by far for conventional 35mm slide dupes, assuming you need absolute maximum resolution to copy thousands (as I needed) is Sickles with Zeiss optics. Exceptionally rigid.
