Dye Sublimation printer bought a few days ago and I like it.
wireless setup was easy. I made many test Prints to try and find the best
quality and settled on tiff in sRGB export and print from LightRoom

when I used "printer controls color" the prints looked different when coming from
my desktop vs my laptop so I tried applying some print profiles ie sRgb, Adobe98, and ProPhoto
and had the sane issue.

My colormuki does not support building a profile from a 4x6 print but a search on the net found one.
It cost me 10$ but resolved that issue. Prints from the desk and lap now look the same.

The other issue I have is that there is some cropping of the image from both computers but not the same cropping.
This remains unresolved. If I print from Photoshop all is well.

When I bought the print profile a LR print template was included. Having never tried a template in LR or even printed
from LR in the past I loaded it and now I can't get rid of it. LR4 has no provision to deselect a template and the suggestions
I found on the net ie print setup and reconfigure don't work.

Over all, I like the printer. About .47$ per print with a reported life of about 100 years.

Recommended.

Doyle, perhaps doing an uninstall and discarding all preferences relatel to LR and reinstall but not using a template may do the trick...

If you use the free Argyll cms you can use what ever size paper you want, and in the process get more spots to read per sheet. See http://www.ludd.ltu.se/~torger/photography/argyll-print.html for an excellent writeup. Of course you have a working profile, so this isn't really needed (until you buy a larger printer).
