SOLD-
The time has come to move the parts of the Zenzablad on to another camera builder/experimenter to see what they can dream up with it. The Hasselblad Superwide body w/o a lens has had three different iterations since I’ve had it. A pinhole, (or Pinblad), a HolgaBlad and finally the Zenzablad. As with pretty much all of my custom cameras, I enjoy the challenge of the idea, the design and build and once it’s completed, they unfortunately don’t get the use they deserve. So I’m going to sell it off in parts to fund another project. Once the body is sold, I’ll list all the other Hasselblad components except for the lens which will be used in another (different) project.
The body has had the Hasselblad baseplate removed and an Acratech Arca Swiss plate installed in its place. The camera came with the small knob that you can see below on the pinhole version. After literally years of searching I found the proper folding film advance arm. Ironically, they are easier to find on eBay these days, albeit expensive. There is a standard hotshoe and a bubble level on the top and the camera will ship with a Hasselblad 41041 protective cover on the back of the camera.
I’m leaving the spacer that was added with the 58mm flange if the next person can use it. It is sealed in place with an opaque adhesive caulk that can be removed once you pull the screws out if you don’t need it. The current back focus from the front of the flange to the film plane is approximately 48mm.
The camera body is fully functioning, light tight, advances the back properly everything you need for a custom camera project. I had long wanted to put the modified Canon 17mm t/s-e with a copal shutter on it but it was always too far out of my price range. The 40mm Bronica lens is as close as I got.
(PS) here is a link to a tongue and cheek article that Petapixel ran on the Zenzablad: https://petapixel.com/2022/02/12/introducing-the-zenzablad-apologies-to-victor-hasselblad/
previous iterations of the body: (I'm only selling the camera body above)
this is the Canon 17mm mod that I though would be so cool w/ this camera body:
