You should probably just agree that you don't want Tom in California hahaha maybe he should move to "Jefferson" though, he might like it there. (This is a "new state" sort of haha, oh you Cali-Organians...).
Haha! Maybe so. But that's my point. This state is so diverse. Firstly, LA vs. SF and that's just a simplistic way of looking at NorCal vs SoCal. Then even looking at the east bay where I live, SF and Oakland/Berkeley are really more different than one would think, and Berkeley is actually very close to Contra Costa county, the conservative Orange County of the north! Areas in the foothills around the outskirts of Sacramento are solidly as conservative as Berkeley and San Francisco is liberal. And that's not even considering the more rural or desert areas. About as rural in some places as the Appalachians (do I hear banjos?). Bottom line? We can find someplace Tom would fit in.
I think I should hold my tongue on the subject. I don't want any emails from Sean. I'm sure there's some good people in California, as would be expected of most any place.
Never been to west hollywierd, but my cousin (who is in fact a drag queen) lives there.
WeHo isn't even a part of Los Angeles... it just happens to be located within an otherwise fine city.
And to address your earlier post... it isn't just drag queeens in short skirts but many young ladies too. Unfortunately most of then are in the 12 to 20 age group. Lookie-lookie but no touchie.
To get back to film photography... I find the folks in "boys town" to be very willing subjects for film photography. Generally friendly, congenial, and often quite animated when they get the chance to pose. Very different from other parts of the LA area. I have no idea how they respond to digial photography, though, but that is a topic more suitable for some other forum.
You would be surprised how many squares there are in California. Out here in the desert I am surrounded by snowbird Canadians. Not to insult anybody but I remember a lady saying on a British sitcom "you are going to the Canadian Embassy? Don't you know enough boring people?" Boring as straight, square I think.
To get back to film photography, I just noticed on a popular thrift shop web site they had a Leica 3c up for auction. This was made maybe in the 1940s, early 1950s? Well, the auction site states that the camera "powers up." I'd like to see that, but the bid for it is already over $500. Too rich for my blood.
I find that a bit disturbing that you grouped the 12-17 year olds into the "lookie lookie" group...
Ya, I find that disturbing too. But I also will "lookie-lookie" at 50+ year olds. Some day so will you.
