Sell Mamiya 6 for GF670?

Anyone here made this switch? I think I might be more inclined to take the GF670 with me more than the Mamiya 6. I don't do a lot of film and only do b&w but this looks like it might get more use than the 6.

No, don't give up the Mamiya 6. I'm assuming that you have the modern Mamiya 6. I own both the Mamiya with its 3 lenses and a Fuji GF670. They are so different in handling that you really can't compare them. The Mamiya is my favorite for fall and winter because you can collapse the lens into the body and carry the camera under your coat and it's ready to go in an instant when needed. The fuji is much more fiddly to get ready. I like both cameras but I would not give up my Mamiya 6. ---jb

Like JB..... I would not give up a Mamiya 6 for a GF....i'll add the current high price of the GF as well as the issues with lens alignment.

I would add that I recently got rid of my GF670. I just never took to it. It seemed so plasticky compared to my older Fuji rangefinders. I know some people like it, but . . .

I’ve never held a GF670 but I personally would get really tired of opening the camera up all the time. Maybe it’s a quick process, I don’t know.

If you’re referring to the modern Mamiya 6 I would never get rid of it. I own two bodies and all three lenses and I will probably be buried with them.

My Mamiya 6mf film advance just failed on me last weekend. Grrr. I would still stick with the 6 though. Nothing else in 6x6 handles the same way. There are certain style images it can't do especially well, but I jump to large format for those.
