Hey all,

Does anyone have suggestions about where I might be able to order some selenium toner from Aus so I can get it quickly?

I've tried Vanbar, Photo Reisel, Newdark and Blanco Negro. No luck those places.

Weird, no places have it in stock. The minimum waiting time for one place was 3 months.

Excellent. I'll keep them in mind too. Totals were very nice.

There was another dude I talked to once. He was from Newcastle I think. Richard someone maybe. If anyone knows please tell me.
Thanks.

I've spoken to Vanbar and Photo Resources and they both told me that Kodak have stated that KRST is no longer manufactured. This obviously isn't the case, but is an easy excuse for Kodak Australia to no longer import a low turnover product.

I've given up trying to source it locally and recently purchased 2 bottles through Freestyle. Photo Resources in Fitzroy had the Fotospeed selenium toner in stock. Vanbar had some the last I went in but that was over a month ago.

I know people have found Selenium toner very hard to get in Australia the past 6 months or so.
Les Porter has Ilford Selenium toner in stock
You can also get KRST from Freestyle, they will post it internationally whereas B&H won't.
One thing it means is that you can't go out & buy this stuff on the spur of the moment anymore. Have to be organised & get it well in advance.

Even in Kodak's home country there appears to be some availability questions. Recently I noticed my Kodak brown toner was getting low and discovered that neither B&H nor Freestyle listed it. Calumet listed it -- at one gallon for a mere $300+ dollars! I haven't tried it yet, but I bought a small bottle of "Legacy" branded stuff from Freestyle which is claimed to be the Kodak formula.

I'm suspecting they may be reducing the variety of package sizes, as with some film being unavailable as individual rolls. Worst comes to worst, it would be easier to make our toner than film!
