Hi all--
A friend of mine is looking for a replacement for Kodak Selectol Soft. Is anyone making a replacement of sorts?
Thanks,
Matt

Here's another good option from Freestyle, an APUG supporting partner:

LegacyPro Select Soft Paper Developer

I have not used it personally, but the LegacyPro series of photo chemistry was introduced specifically to fill in the gaps as Kodak continues over time to eliminate its various analog product lines.

Tetenal makes a soft working developer called Centrabrom.

Kodak D165 is Selectol Soft. Ilford's ID-3 is virtually identical.

ID-3 Ilford Soft Contrast Developer

Metol 6 g
Sodium Sulphite (anh) 25 g
Sodium Carbonate (anh) 37.5 g
Potassium Bromide 1 g
Water to 1 litre

To use: Dilute 1+ 3

(D165 uses 37g Sodium Carbonate, anhyd)
