It IS the best meter (for serious intent - however, when relaxedly stomping about, I prefer 'trying to guess', or using my trusty Gossen Luna Pro F). I've had mine for five years and it's awesome, accurate, easy, great in the field or studio.

I find the L-758DR handy as heck for combining flash with daylight when shooting on film out in the wild.

I own one too and I highly recommend it as well... best meter ever. Still, using one requires a bit of know how.
Not to mention it's tough! Mine has seen some accidental abuse and besides few scratches, it works like new.
