Sekonic L-408 EXPERIENCE

Hi everyone I found this light meter as something I would buy for the money I have, but I wonder why is not that much information about this light meter.

I found specification, but I would love to hear your experience
What is good and what is bad>?

I'm kinda guessing, but - I think that's one of the few, if only, do-it-all meters you can buy brand new? Incident, reflected and 5° spot in one. Should be a great tool but you can certainly google up reviews and come back here with specific questions.

I believe the picture shows the Sekonic L408. I almost bought one of those to replace my Sekonic L206 viewmeter. The L206 has a 10 degree view and it appeared to me the L408 was a modern update with a slightly narrower view of 6 degrees. The L408 is also said to be water resistant.

I wound up going tor one of the 1 degree Sekonic meters instead. Mostly to see how 1 degree spot meters compared to the 10 degree view I had been used to.

I have one. The 5-degree spot is good enough for me in many cases, and the ability to make incident measurements has been very useful. It reads to 1/10 stop. It uses a single AA battery, probably the most universally-available size you can find. As ic-racer said, it's water-resistant - I wouldn't submerge it, but I don't worry about using it in a light rain. I have a PDF of the manual if you need one, send me a PM with your email address.

I was looking for a digital to complement the 398 workhorse (whose small print is getting harder, sigh). Chose the 408 over 358 on eBay;: $100 less, ambient + reflective spot in one (5% will work for me, arm's length grey card), easier battery (AA vs CR123), can live with one stored ISO, can estimate 1/2 and 1/3 stops from the analog display, don't need the radio, non-illuminated display (but you can't have it all). This one works for me, hope this helps.
