Sekonic L-328 trouble

Dear friends,
woke up this morning with this news: my Sekonic 328 battery is fresh and all contacts are clean. Power switch also ok. But, if you let the unit automatically turn off or if you turn it off using the sliding switch and then turn on, it remains shut down. You must eject battery and insert it back to bring it to work.
Any suggestions?

Send in in for repair or just live with it as is.
Are you sure the switch is good? The switch has multiple contacts and some may be making while others are not. It may be a circuit also.

maybe it is a switch problem, but. as I said, I have to keep on inserting the battery to make it work, but when I insert the battery back while the switch is off the unit doesn't work. When I insert the battery back while the switch is on the unit works. So it means that the switch still affects the unit.

I posted the link for the pictures, found by a google search and clicking on images for the meter. I was an electronics technician but I would not be able to troubleshoot this meter without a diagram or test jig for it.
You could get a can of CRC Quick Dry Contact Cleaner http://www.homedepot.com/p/CRC-QD-11-oz-Contact-Cleaner-02130-6/202262505 and spray out the switch and operate it several times while wet with cleaner and the batteries removed. It will be safe to install the batteries and try the meter once the cleaner no longer drips out of the switch. It may work when damp but quit when completely dry.

I will try to do it! I have 2 Sekonic 328 and both have contact issues. One has problems with the meter button, the other os the one we are talking about. I am Italian, sorry for my English, so I have to look for the cleaner here in Italy...

I doubt they ship it to Mars, that's where Italy is isn"t it?
Different brands work differently. Some sold here in us a show the same characteristics but only work half as well.
Good luck finding a good one. Hardware and auto parts stores are a good source to check.
