My trusty little Sekonic L-208 Twinmate seems to have fallen in a coma.
I bought it new two years ago and a couple days ago the needle stopped moving seemingly stuck to the left side of the meter.
I changed batteries twice and neither does the battery charge indicator button seem to do anything. I even cleaned the insides of the battery compartment with cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to no avail.

Since I will need to send it to Athens for a check up, do you have any suggestions?
Thank you beforehand,
a.

Stuck needles are the norm for analog light meters. Repair is touchy for a DIY job and it is probably best to send it on to a repair facility. It can also be the usual broken wire, bad switch, open meter coil, or cracked solder joint

I've been thinking of breaking down and buying a new light meter, and I've been stuck between the L-208 and digisix because they both look like compact and lightweight incident meters with the all-important physical settings dial. The L-208 is cheaper but after reading this maybe I'll go with the digisix.

Ari I just checked the price of a new L-208 online, and knowing the cost of repairs to photographic equipment these days, I suspect It would be cheaper for you to buy a new one.
