Hello all,
I'm currently trying to repair the flash sync on this Seikosha-S shutter off a Mamiyaflex. I tried resoldering the connections to no avail. If the PC sync cable touches the metal shutter housing it does fire. But I'm a bit lost on where to go from here. If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to Photrio.
I've moved your thread to the Repair sub-forum, because it seems to fit best there.
I hope you get the answers you need.

Verify that during the release cycle the contacts actually touch. This may be the problem. Also clean the contact surfaces as they may have burned a bit due to sparking.

I'm not sure that I understand the problem. For one, there shouldn't be a blob of solder on the outer contact. And the contact between the housing and inner tabs should occur *only* when the blades are fully open (in "X" mode). This is best tested with the main spring removed.

Also, the blades are very dirty (was this flushed-cleaned perhaps?) and the cocking gear is improperly timed with the cocking ring.
