Nope, thankfully this website (in French) lists protests/marches for the upcoming week, so you can plan ahead. Handy!I'll be in Paris next month for 5 days. Are the riots over?

Protesters change their routes every time. Good news is that they're approved by the prefecture in advance, so we know ahead of time. I'm sure hotel staff will inform you. If you're ever in doubt, feel free to DM me and I'll be happy to double check that website and tell you which areas to avoid...or where to take your camera for some action!I'm going to be staying at Canopy by Hilton Paris Trocadero, 16 Av. d'Eylau, 75116 Paris, France. Are the protests/marches prevalent there or not?

My experience in Paris (5 years until 2016) was that Boulevard Beaumarchais shops were OK, but you're unlikely to find any bargains there -- the prices were considerably higher than corresponding prices in the U.S. The fair at Bievres was always worth visiting, as vendors come from all over France and many from outside France to see their stuff, and many of the vendors are private sellers. There's also an excellent fair every March in Chelles, the east of Paris -- http://multiphot.com/foirephoto.html.
