I'm experimenting with the chemistry sequence used by the Kodak Direct positive processing kit for Panatomic-x film and I am planning to use light fogging to reverse the image. But I see that there are many choices for second developer I'm not sure what to use.Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, sorry no one answered.

I think that any film developer will work, you might even be able to get away with a paper developer. Basically, it's not entirely critical.

I've used HC-110 with success, but many other options abound. Check out this thread...

If you use sodium sulfide as the second (fogging) developer you can eliminate the re-exposure step. This chemical produces sepia colored slides.

The second developer in a reversal process runs to completion. Almost any developer will work, but a vigorous one is usually recommended. Kodak D-95 or a similar developer is usually recommended, but D-19 is also commonly used. For the occasional run, Dektol will work fine.
