Hard to believe it was never officially licensed. It was featured at CES.

Agreed. If this device was not using the Kodak name under license, then why didn't Kodak stop it? A company has to take action to protect its trademark. Declining to do so is grounds to losing control of the trademark.

I dont know if it's related, but EK shares are down -5.5% as of now, now down a full -25% for the trailing month.

The Kash Miner was part of Kodak's cryptocurrency blitz earlier this year. Previous to that announcement the stock was languishing down near $3/share. After the announcement it blasted up to $12/share. Since then it has been on a continuous drop and is now just under $4/share. None of the cryptocurrency ideas have panned out and so the idea that somehow these corporate moves would represent something of a revival of EK's fortunes has evaporated.
