Seattlechrome film from the early 1990s

When I first got into photography, I tried the whole Seattle Film Works deal of "prints and slides from the same roll" of C-41 or MP film and was not at all impressed with the results. However, they also offered a film called "Seattlechrome" that was a true E-6 emulsion and I actually shot dozens of rolls of this. The color rendition was always quite good and the grain was fine. And 20-25 years later, the slides still look the same as when I first got them back, with no fading.

While I always knew at the time it was re-badged film, I never knew just what it was, and I still don't, even with searches here and across the internet as a whole. I would guess it to be either Agfa or Ferrania-Scotch film, but don't know for certain which. Does anyone here know?

The usual 5247/5294 stuff was, but by the early 90's, they also offered processing of chrome film as well as their "own" chrome film. It is easy to tell between the internegative "slides" and true chrome slides both on their color and contrast, as well as the use of yellow bordered slide mount backs instead of white.

Not sure if my attachments tend to carry over, but this is a modest scan of a 25 year old photo taken on the film in 1990. I am certain it is chrome film and not the repackaged motion picture stuff.

It certainly is a well preserved slide...nice and crisp and not at all faded.

When I lived in Portland in the 90's, I shot quite a bit of that repackaged movie film from Seattle Film Works in colour negative form. Really liked it. Not real contrasty or saturated.
