Do you mean it has a few crystals in the bottom? If so, that's how it's supposed to be so you should be fine. It keeps nearly forever.

Yes I heard few crystals outside the box.. never opened

So you've opened the box in which you have a container of R09 and there are a few crystals in the bottom of the box? That suggests to me that the unopened bottle has either been opened by someone or has leaked so that some of the the R09's liquid leaked into the box and has now formed crystals

I may have made some assumptions that are wrong but if there is a leak from the bottle I wonder for how long the bottle has had that leak?

Have you recently bought the R09 from a retailer/shop? Is it may be OK but if my assumptions are correct I'd want the bottle exchanged

I assumed that "box" was just a mis-translation from Italian because I've never seen it come in a box.

Bottle or box?
If some in the box, open it and wash your hands afterwards
Bottle, outside, clean the botttle
Inside, no problem that is what makes Rodinal/Adonal/R09 immortal

When I have it shipped it comes with the bottle sealed in a plastic bag for secondary containment. The bottle/bag are in a box.

If its a brand new, unopened bottle and has already got deposits of crystals in the bottom, its not going to last long once its been opened, so I would regard this as a "use it fast and use it up" bottle, not to be trusted for long term storage.
When crystals form in the bottle, you have to realize that an important component of the developer is coming out of solution, and that means the characteristics of the developer are changing. There is a point at which sufficient material has dropped out of solution when the developer has changed enough to be very different in action than intended. The original Agfa Rodinal used to last forever, but R09 does not. In my experience, once opened, it lasts for less than a year under ideal conditions.
