sealed battery casing

I just found out that the Eumig Viennette 8 (Super-8 camera) got an exchangable battery magazine (cassette, 6x AA) that is not only completely closed, but also sealed by means of a rubber gasket at its cap. This is the one and only sealed magazine I came across.

Anyone into old cameras, and probably not only those..., knows of the devastating effect especially leaking alkaline batteries can have. So this seems a very good idea to me.
That magazine only contained corroded zink-carbon batteries, which are not that corrosive and messy. Thus I can't speak for the worst case. But as the metal parts of the magazine are not from stainless steel, the magazine itself would most probably be lost.

Has anyone seen something alike?

I have never seen anything like that either.
Not all batteries leak. I hadn't had a battery leak for about 15 years but in the last few years I have noticed leaky batteries are back in full force. Another interesting thing as that the residue from a leak like this is completely removed with water (though the metal contacts remain corroded).

I have had EU made alkaline batteries leaking terribly. Not in cheap clocks run out of voltage but in cameras over a weekend...
Consumer tests show differences between brands and price ranges. But I assume no alkaline to be safe.
