UPDATE!!!:
I talked to a gentleman from Omega who directed me to the Sr. Service Technician for the manufacturer (D&K Framing products). Her name is Wendy (888)240-6021 and was amazingly helpful! She told me that press (original 210) used a "triac relay" system which was discontinued long ago because of so many issues and that it is now part of the thermostat assembly itself. She also said that she's had several users successfully upgrade their thermostats with the new version, bypassing the old triac relay system. This is the part number to order a new thermostat plus these before/after wiring diagrams in the event that someone in the future is looking. It looks VERY straight forward...

Thanks again for everyone's input, especially Kino! I'm feeling very optimistic about breathing new life into this press.

Dave

Ah! Good!

Well $139 is certainly more than $15, but it's a pittance compared to what a new dry mount press would cost.

Thanks for posting the solution!
