Hi all!
Hope I can make myself clear about my question
I'm looking to replace a screw for my Horseman/Silvestri 4x5 back, it is the broken one shown in the picture. It is a hexagonal 5/64 screw and I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about ( you can see the good one I still have in the second picture ) but I do not know what I should look for ( in English ) to see if they are available somewhere on online shops or elsewhere.
Any advice on what to look for is greatly appreciated! Please excuse me for any grammar errors

Since you only showed the broken screw, I can only speculate what it looks like originally.

I think what you need is known in English as a Captive Screw or Reduced Shank Captive Screw.

Such screws are found on many devices. These are commonly available in catalogs of industrial components intended for use by manufacturers, but not generally sold in hardware stores that cater to the public. They are available in many different forms.

In some cases, the reduced shank screw is not held captive, depending on the application. That might be the case here. I can’t determine this from the photo. The screw might be a proprietary part that was custom-made for Silvestri.

The easiest solution to your problem is to contact Silvestri Camera Company and inquire about the part you need. If you are successful, you should purchase several spare screws should you need them later.
