Cool! As for museums, I have the ear of Nancy Barr, photo curator at the DIA. In turn she'll hit her list with it as well. Thanks for reminding me Joe!

OCC Royal Oak Campus has a very active photo department run By Rob Kangus. APUG got 3 or 4 attendees from there. Kangus is a luddite and seldom reads his email, but he is a great guy and a good photograher.
CCS in Detroit has a pretty good department John Ganis is the guy to talk to there (Dead Link Removed) Ganis is good guy and hip to new things.
Cranbrook Photo department which kind of sucks IMNSHO is run by Liz Cohen and should be ripe for iphone to digineg and Shelby lee lcohen@cranbrook.edu I know nothing about Cohen.
Wayne State photo lab is run by Marilyn Zimmerman aa4212@wayne.edu, but James Raymo may be the one to talk to ad4588@wayne.edu

You can add my favorite "Rakoff,Penny A" <prakoff@uakron.edu>. She is head of the Photo department where I have been taking courses since retirement 2003.
She is giving an alternative process course this summer. Whether she sees Photostock as a ramp up or competition I am not sure, but let me know when you try her and I will add my two cents. She knows I have been to the last two events.

This is good guys. I like emails. It cuts my time on Google.

Dan Henderson

a couple of more places:

Grand Rapids Community College
Ox Bow School of Art (a summer camp in Saugatuck affiliated with the Art Institute of Chicago.) I have exchanged emails with the director a couple of times, so when we get the site done I will email the link to him and ask him to forward to his students.)

and one more idea: Brian Kelly used to do some photography workshops out of his gallery. I wonder if he kept an email list of photographers who have taken his workshops and if he would forward the Photostock 2009 info on to them, or even post it on his web site. I ran into him a couple of weeks ago and I was pestering him about coming up. He was kind of noncommittal about it, but Shelby Lee Adams might get him up that way.

Yeah... Brian lost a lot of interest in the fine art side of photography. He still has contacts and I will talk to him about that. I'll be seeing him soon. Thanks Dan.
