I just came across some Schneider Xenoplan Lenses and I'm not familiar with them at all, I was wondering if someone could shed a little light on these for me. I don't think they were manufactured for cameras, but it looks like they could be used for certain digital cameras. Schneider's website says they are "ideally suited for geometric metrology, traffic supervision, and many other applications where ultra-precise imaging is essential."

I have what looks like two different versions of the same lens.
Schneider CM120 Xenoplan 2/3" XNP 1.4/23-0302
Schneider CM120 Xenplan 15 Compact XNP 1.4/23-0902

Are these lenses of any use to a film photographer?

Yeah, I found most of that on the Schneider website....
So, does anyone have any first-hand experience with these?

Most C-mount lenses won't cover a 35mm frame, and 2/3" is only 16mm. I'm guessing the other one is 15mm---so if either of them did cover, they'd be a seriously-superwide lens. But you have nothing to lose by trying, right? You may just get a little circle in the middle of the frame, you may get illumination but heavy vignetting or distortion.

It seems absurdly unlikely that there would be enough coverage for normal use on any common film format, though. Got a half-frame camera?

The closest I know is the Steky-16, with a mount similar, but not identical to the D- mount. There were no 16mm still cameras with C mount.
