Schneider Tele Arton 300mm f/5.5 in Compound III shutter, prototype
The lens is engraved with „Tele Xenar“ but it is a 100% prototype of the Tele Arton because it is a five element lens and it were made before Schneider listed any Tele Arton lenses in the catalouges.
This lens were never been in serial production only the 270mm Tele Arton were sold in this version.
It is the one and only 300mm Tele Arton!
It is in very good conditions, it were never in professional use. I bought it a lot of years ago from a collector and he never used it.
I used the lens for 4x5“ and 5x7“ formats and it is a very good and sharp lens when stoped down. At full open it is a little bit reduced in the shapness, not like a soft focus lens but with the right kind of softness for portraits.
The lens is mounted in a synchroniced Compund III shutter, fires at all speeds and I got always correct exposed negatives.
Clean and clear glass.
Comes with mounting flange.
