I am selling a Schneider-Kreuznach Xenogon 35mm F2.8 for Leica thread mount rangefinders.

The condition is excellent. I can see no glass issues at all on visual inspection except perhaps a occasional faint microscopic speck here or there that might even go away if one attempts to clean the lens (which I'd not do as it's close to perfect). The glass condition is very clear and clean. The cosmetics are excellent. Two of the iris blades have a tiny bit of oil on their tips, but this is normal for a lens of this age and affects nothing. I have shot with this lens and obtained top-quality results - amazing results really for a lens early fifties vintage. The posted shot of Death Valley was taken with this lens with using color print film from the 99-cent store.

This lens outperforms any Leica-made I have used from the same era. The Xenogon is German optical engineering at it's very best and is very uncommon today.

Sold as shown with an aftermarket rear lens cap. I do not have a front cap, but the front surface will be well-protected on shipping.

Price: $850 plus insured shipping
