Schneider Componon-S Problem

Schneider Componon-S 150mm I recently aquired was on a Beseler lens board. The lens was too pretty not to play with so I took it off the lens board. Long story short I reassembled the lens' rear element without the lens board and now the whole thing is jammed up. I can't get it loose! I won't be printing 4x5 for a while but it bothers me that its not right. It appears that there are still threads that would allow it to be mounted with a jam nut, but the opening on the lens board is to small to accept the lens.

I never jammed up a lens, you had to apply a lot of force I guess?
I don't see how you could unjam it without correct application of force.

No extreme force was used, just spun it on. What to do what to do.

Try using a couple of wide rubber bands for additional grip.

I've found when I've jammed a brass filter ring on a lens that cupping it in my hand to raise the temperature and using a little evenly dispersed force from the flat of my palm will loosen it.

I like the rubberband idea and the use of small amounts of heat. If it doesn't work, I'll just send it out to Schnieder.

The rubberbands worked! Amazing the amount of torque I could get with one little rubberband! I am storing that one away for a multitude of puposes.

Clean the thread before re-assembling the lens. The is probably some fine swarf in the thread.
