A wonderful lens, probably the best lens I own, I just don't use it enough on my Wisner 8x10 camera. I often reach for a wider 12" Goerz Dagor or 8 1/2" Kodak Commercial Ektar.
It looks like there's dust on it in the photos, but the glass looks perfect. I can see a tiny mark, maybe in the coating on the rear element, and I wonder if it might clean off, but I don't want to mess with it, so I'm leaving it there. You can see it in one of the photos. I've never noticed any degradation in photos. A couple of marks are reflections of the lights I use to photograph items.
Shutter works fine at all speeds. They sound correct.
Aperture is perfect.
I don't see any Schneideritis!
There is a slight scuff on the one edge that I never saw until I made photos to sell it. I never noticed it before, so it's certainly magnified by the photos.
With retainer ring and spacer ring.
It and the Wisner 8x10 camera came from a local photographer who was selling it. He said it had never had an issue, had never been dropped, had never been anything but babied. That camera may be for sale too, if I don't shoot it enough.
The lens has a fitting front cap and a back cap that's loose but covers and protects it well, but it doesn't stay on. I keep the lens in a lens bag, so it's always secured.
$995 (net to me) with free shipping in USA only. Now $950.
