Hello Everyone,
I am new to programming CMM and recently I have been having some issues with the scanning feature on our machine. The version of PC-DMIS that we are using is 2013 MR1 and the machine we are using is an Optiv Optivscan 663. What is happening is that when we are finished running the program, our scanning features seem to be out of tolerance by at least 80 to 150 microns. Then I would change the scanning option to touch probe, and the features would get substantially better. I double-check the part on a height gauge, and they all come intolerant. I have tried slowing the scanning speed down from 10 mm per sec to 5. I have tried changing the surface type from machined to polished. I have tried applying less force, from .076 to.045 I have tried deleting the feature and re-programming it. I don't have any other ideas. If anyone could help, I would be forever grateful!!

As near as I can tell, after surviving the onslaught of unfamiliar acronyms, you're working with a 3D scanner / modeler. Very cool, very interesting, but this sub-forum is dedicated primarily to scanning of film negatives and other photographic materials, and photrio in general is dedicated to (mostly) film photography.

It's not impossible someone around here might be able to help, but I would think it's unlikely.

What you describe sounds like a calibration issue, but that's a complete wild guess on my part.

Suggest you try again at: https://www.pcdmisforum.com/

First, I'd like to welcome you to our site, which is almost entirely about photography.
And then I'd like to thank grat for the translation services .
I am hopeful that jasmin65 may also be interested in photography, and may therefore get some enjoyment out of signing up here, but I would confirm that 3D scanning isn't part of what we do here.
