I've inherited a few rolls of 35mm film of my family shot back in the 1950's. With these images, I'd like to compile a series of these old photos for my family, and I think that a good ending image for the series would be this fingerprint on the emulsion side of one image. I'd like to clean the film before I scan. So, I'd want to capture this fingerprint (possibly of a relative long gone) before i clean the film. Would anyone know some scanner/ Vuescan technique that would allow me to capture this fingerprint? Thanks for any help.

You could try scanning it as reflective.
