We are now starting to firm up our schedule for 2007 Workshops with the firt one scheduled for January 27 - 29 at Midwest Photo in Columbus, OH. There is still some space left for this workhop. If you are interested in this workshop please contact me, Michael Mutmansky or Jim at Midwest as soon as possible. These workshops are for the large format photographer and the photographer interested in producing large format digital negatives. Medium format photographers who use or are interested in uing flatbed scanners are also welcome.

The workhop concentrates on scanning for the best possible prints and digital negatives from large format negatives and transparencies; best use of photo editing software and printer selections and printing software settings. Workshops start from the premise that you must capture all the information the scanner is capable of reproducing if you want the beest possible final print. Information not captured is lost forever and no amount of post scn manipulation will recapture it.

There will definitely be a workshop in the Southwest in the Spring of 2007. We are working out the dates now. Location - Albuquerque. Date to be announced by early January.

There will also be a workshop at my new studio/workshop in New Hampshire this Spring or Summer. We are trying to coordinate dates with the Fine Focus Workshops for those that are interested in both.

All venues will have a variety of scanners printers and computer platforms available. In addition to 'prosumer scanners' participants will also be able to work with our high end Screen Cezanne scanner at the New Hampshire workshop.

You can download information from the Midwest website www.mpex.com by clicking on the 'Scanning Workshop' banner.
